John & Liz have lived in Fordham Heath for most of their lives and have been married for 26 years. Having spent many holidays exploring the world by motorcycle they have a love of the great outdoors, good food and red wine.

Their paddock was home to Liz’s horse for many years and after he moved onto pastures new, they were keen to find a use for the land.

After 40 years in the Building trade and running their own business, the concept of providing luxury glamping emerged from a dream of retirement.  A new interest they could invest their time and energy into.  John designed and handmade the glamping pods during Winter 2018/19 using the flare and skill he has spent a lifetime practicing. The Pods measure a huge 7m x 4.5m and are probably the largest available in the UK! They are so big that they are almost lodges, or, as we affectionately call them ‘Podges’.   He is very much looking forward to managing the landscaping and growing vegetables for our guests to harvest and enjoy! 

As lifelong dog owners they were determined the pods would be dog friendly.  The enclosed gardens were Liz’s idea to ensure ultimate relaxation for every guest.  What could be better than luxury accommodation, a wonderful view and happy dogs?
